I’m a journalist and editorial strategist drawn to stories that live at the intersection of public impact and personal experience.

I began my career intending to become a print reporter, but early work in public radio reshaped my understanding of narrative. I learned to think in rhythm and structure — to pay attention not only to what is said, but to how it lands. That attention to pacing and emotional precision continues to guide my work.

Today, I work in-house for a climate advocacy organization, where I lead editorial strategy and produce reported features that translate complex environmental and policy issues into stories people can feel and understand. My background spans audio, documentary production, visual storytelling, and long-form writing, but regardless of medium, I’m constantly asking myself: what makes a story resonate?

I’m available for select freelance projects in long-form journalism, profile writing, and mission-driven storytelling. For freelance inquiries, email serenagolden0410@gmail.com.
